The Anza-Borrego Foundation is now accepting applications for two substantial grants in support of student research. The Paul Jorgensen Bird Research Grant provides $2,000 to support projects studying birds, particularly in the Colorado Desert of California; and the Howie Wier Conservation Grant offers up to $2,500 for fieldwork in ecology, systematics, evolutionary biology, and conservation biology in the Colorado Desert or Peninsular Range regions of southern California. Applications, which are due December 3, should be submitted using the forms provided at the ABF website.
