The Microbiology Student Association will host a campus visit this Thursday by Dr. Alyson Santoro, Associate Professor of Ecology, Evolution and Marine Biology at UC Santa Barbara. Santoro studies the ecology of microbial communities in the deep ocean, with a recent focus on microbes that colonize particulate matter as it sinks from the surface.
Santoro will give speak at noon in the USU Lake View Terrace room, and meet with students about graduate school opportunities until 1pm. Lunch will be provided with RSVP to csun.msq@gmail.com.
