This week’s seminar in the Biology Colloquium series will be given by Sushmita Mitra from the Machine Intelligence Unit at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata. Mitra studies biomedical applications of “soft computing” methods that classify complex images or extract patterns from messy visual data, such as diagnosing and classifying tumors from MRI results. Her seminar will be titled “Intelligent Biomedical Image Analysis.”
The Biology Colloquium series is held every Friday during the semester, at 2:00pm in Chaparral Hall room 5125.
