Colloquium: Colón-Carmona on Arabidopsis’s closest microbial friends

Dr. Colón-Carmona (University of Massachusetts Boston)

This week’s seminar in the Biology Colloquium series launches will be presented by Adán Colón-Carmona, a Professor of Biology at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Dr. Colón-Carmona studies the molecular biology of plants’ development, and their interactions with microbes like pathogens and beneficial bacteria. His seminar will be titled “Modulating the rhizosphere microbiome in Arabidopsis thaliana.”

Because CSUN has suspended large in-person meetings to help slow the transmission of the novel coronavirus, this week’s Colloquium will be presented by videoconference on the Zoom service. You can watch the presentation on Friday at 2pm via this meeting link, with passcode biology. (Following the link may prompt the installation of the Zoom app in order to display video.)
