Colloquium: Balrich-Gonzalez on the molecular messages that pass between plants and microbes

Patricia Balrich-Gonzalez (UC Davis website)

The Fall 2024 Biology Colloquium Series continues Friday with a seminar by Patricia Balrich-Gonzalez, the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Funding at the UC Davis Genome Center. Dr. Balrich-Gonzalez studies how small RNAs transmit information from plants to many of the microbe species they interact with. Her talk, supported by URISE and Bridges to the PhD, will be titled, “Should I stay or should I go? Plant extracellular RNA”.

Colloquium series seminars are held Fridays at 2pm in Chaparral Hall room 5122. Dr. Mooney will be available after the seminar to meet with students during a “Meet the Speaker” reception, with light refreshments, in Chaparral Hall 5201.
