Applications are open for students and postdocs interested in presenting research results at the annual CSUNposium, to be held Friday, April 4, 2025.
The CSUNposium is a campus-wide showcase for research and creative work by CSUN students at all levels. Presenters can apply to give three- or ten-minute talks about their work, or a poster presentation. Biology graduate and undergraduate researchers have been well represented in the past, and Biology presentations regularly win CSUNposium awards.
The 2025 CSUNposium will be fully in person, with multiple presentation formats available — 10- or 3-minute talks, or posters. Projects presented at CSUNposium need not be complete — there is a category specifically for works-in-progress, and for undergraduate research as well as graduate thesis projects. Applications require a 1,000-character (approximately 150-word) abstract describing the work to be presented, submitted via the CSUNposium event page, and are due in by next Friday, January 31, 2025. (Approval by faculty advisors will be due the next Monday.) Applicants selected to present will be notified by the end of February.
Faculty are also encouraged to help out with judging presentations, and should fill out the Interest Form as soon as possible to indicate interest — judging is generally just a couple hours’ commitment during the CSUNposium event, and instruction on the process will be provided.
