The Spring 2025 Biology Colloquium Series begins this Friday with a seminar by Kinsey Brock, Assistant Professor of Biology and Curator of Herpetology at San Diego State University. Dr. Brock studies how reptile and amphibian populations have adapted to cities — both modern urban environments, and environments created in ancient Mediterranean cities. Her talk will be titled, “Herpetology in new and ancient cities: stories from Athens, Taormina, and LA”.
Colloquium series seminars are held Fridays at 2pm in Chaparral Hall room 5122. Dr. Brock will be available after the seminar to meet with students during a “Meet the Speaker” reception, with light refreshments, in Chaparral Hall 5201.
