Colloquium: Ehrenreich on using gene editing to learn how the DNA code builds traits

Dr. Ehrenreich (USC website)

This week the Spring 2023 Biology Colloquium hosts Ian M. Ehrenreich, Professor of Biological Sciences at USC. Dr. Ehrenreich studies how variation in DNA sequences results in differences in the traits that determine organisms’ survival and reproductive success. His seminar, will be titled, “Exploring genotype-phenotype relationships using CRISPRi and chromosome synthesis”.

Colloquium series seminars are held Fridays at 2pm in Chaparral Hall room 5125. This week, Dr. Ehrenreich will be available to meet with students during a “Meet the Speaker” mixer after the seminar in Chaparral Hall room 5201, where light refreshments will be served.
