Colloquium: Aguilar Alfaro on the immune system’s “killer” cells

Dr. Aguilar

The Fall 2023 Biology Colloquium Series continues this Friday with a seminar by Oscar Aguilar Alfaro, Assistant Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at UC San Francisco. Dr. Aguilar studies “natural killer” cells, lymphocytes that play a key role in the innate immune system by responding to foreign cells in the bloodstream. His seminar, given with support from URISE and Bridges to the PhD, will be titled, “Investigating CD16-mediated natural killer cell responses”.

Colloquium series seminars are held Fridays at 2pm in Chaparral Hall room 5122.
