Colloquium: Bámaca on cultural and developmental context of Latinx youth health

The Spring 2024 Biology Colloquium Series launches this Friday with a seminar by Mayra Bámaca-Colbert, Associate Professor in Psycholog at UC Merced. Dr. Bámaca studies public health needs and social context in immigrant communities nationwide. Her talk, co-sponsored by URISE and Bridges to the PhD, will be titled, “Latinx Youth Wellbeing: Cultural, contextual, and developmental frameworks”.

Colloquium series seminars are held Fridays at 2pm in Chaparral Hall room 5122. Dr. Bámaca will be available after the seminar to meet with students during a “Meet the Speaker” reception, with light refreshments, in Chaparral Hall 5201.
