Dr. Martik (UC Berkeley website)

The Fall 2024 Biology Colloquium Series continues Friday with a seminar by Megan Martik, Assistant Professor of Genetics, Genomics, Evolution, and Development at UC Berkeley. Dr. Martik studies the interactions of the regulatory genes that help create the huge diversity of vertebrate forms. Her talk, sponsored by URISE and Bridges to the PhD, will be titled, “Investigating the evolution of the vertebrate jaw through gene regulatory network analysis”.

Colloquium series seminars are held Fridays at 2pm in Chaparral Hall room 5122. Dr. Ramanan will be available after the seminar to meet with students during a “Meet the Speaker” reception, with light refreshments, in Chaparral Hall 5201.
