The Spring 2025 Biology Colloquium Series continues this Friday with a seminar by Joel Rothman, Distinguished Professor and Wilcox Family Chair in Biotechnology in the UC Santa Barbara Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. Dr. Rothman studies developmental plasticity and resilience — the degree to which organisms change their development, or keep it on a pre-programmed pathway, using Caenorhabditis elegans and tardigrades as models. His talk, presented with support from URISE/Bridges to the PhD, will be titled “Mechanisms of plasticity and resilience in two diminutive animals”.
Colloquium series seminars are held Fridays at 2pm in Chaparral Hall room 5125.
