Colloquium: Nelson on the risks and prevention of mental health disorders in teenagers

The Spring 2024 Biology Colloquium Series continues this Friday with a seminar by Brady Nelson, Associate Professor of Psychology at Stony Brook University. Dr. Nelson studies the psychological mechanisms that contribute to development of anxiety and depression, to inform treatment and prevention of these mental health challenges. His talk, sponsored by URISE and Bridges to the Doctorate, will be titled “Reward-Related Brain Activity and Risk for Psychopathology across Adolescence”.

Colloquium series seminars are held Fridays at 2pm in Chaparral Hall room 5122. Dr. Nelson will be available after the seminar to meet with students during a “Meet the Speaker” reception, with light refreshments, in Chaparral Hall 5201.
