Labor Day weekend gave CSUN Biologists some downtime two weeks into the fall semester—and also brought some unseasonal rain thanks to the remnants of a tropical storm moving through Southern California. We came back to a short workweek and a renewed late-summer heatwave, and to classes and campus activities fully under way.
The Biology Colloquium Seminar Series continues Friday with a talk by Kimberly Arellano, Associate Professor of Public Health at Bakersfield College. Dr. Arellano earned Bachelors and Masters degrees at CSUN before going on to study barriers to accessing and using health information. Her talk, hosted by U-RISE, will be titled “Digital Inclusion in Healthcare: Bridging the Digital Divide.” Colloquium seminars are held most Fridays this semester at 2:30 pm in Chaparral Hall 5122; after his talk, Dr. Arellano will join a meet-the-speaker gathering with students in Chaparral Hall 5201.
